Danfoss Digital Design Centre
Company: Danfoss
Role: Lead Experience Designer
Disciplines: UXUI & Service Design
The Objective
Danfoss wanted to create a tool that provides their customers with information about Danfoss products and enables them to design solutions to meet the needs of their clients.
The Solution
Worked collaboratively with Danfoss to create a minimum viable product (MVP) of the Design Center. The project is ongoing and a fully working version of the Design Center is planned for 2019.
Using personas and feedback from user-testing for the creation of sketched low-fidelity wireframes.
Visual and UX design worked together to create high fidelity wireframes for the Design Center, which were used to create the prototype. Because the design needed to cater to two different Danofss market segments we created two separate prototypes.
User Testing
The user testing sprint took place over a week. It involved 8 users, 4 from each segment, from the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The sessions were scenario based and users verbalized their thought process as they completed tasks. This provided another layer of insight into users’ perception and understanding of the design.
Overall the feedback was positive and participants saw it as a useful tool. Changes based on the user testing went into a backlog and addressed in the final prototype.
